National Bank of Ukraine Recognized Delta Bank as Systemically Important Bank

Delta Bank joined the list of systemically important banks in accordance with the Resolution of the National Bank of Ukraine of 25.12.2014 № 863 “On Approval of the Procedure for Determining Systemically Important Banks.” So, on 01.12.2014 the regulator has identified 8 systemically important banks: Delta Bank, UniCredit Bank, Privatbank, Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Prominvestbank, and Sberbank of Russia.
According to the document, the main criteria of systemic importance is the total amount of assets, liabilities of businesses and individuals, system interconnection in the banking system (the volume of interbank lending) and lending the most important sectors of the economy.
The aim of introducing such a resolution is to establish a methodology for determining the banks that affects the stability of the banking system of Ukraine.
